April earned her BA in Early Childhood Development from Fresno Pacific University. She has always enjoyed working
with children, from early days of volunteering at her church to her years working at Hume Lake Christian Camps. The
Carey family has been a part of Summit for the last eight years and April has worked in preschool for the last four years.
She has four children, all who have or will attend Summit. She enjoys seeing the wonder of children as they discover the
world God made.

Her work at Summit is influenced by Ephesians 4:2 “… with all humility and gentleness, with patience,
bearing with one another in love.” Showing the love that Jesus has for each one of us, while laying a foundation of a love
for learning in the students, is an integral part of the Early Education department.
