James 1:22 – “Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” – is the verse Mrs. Kathy Bannister desires to teach her student to live by. Mrs. Bannister became a Christian in a third grade Sunday School class, and that may be why she has a special place in her heart for that age level which she has taught for many years.

A native of the Sacramento area, Mrs. Bannister graduated from CSU Sacramento with a BA in Liberal Studies and a California teaching credential. Her graduate work was done in the area of special education. She has been teaching at Summit since its inception.
